Jaipur Deco is a set of six photographs archiving two decades of Indian cinema hall architecture from the mid-50s to the mid-70s. This limited-edition, handmade box-frame includes six interchangeable archival prints. It can work both as a flat lay piece on a table or as a frame on the wall using the hooks provided at the back. The velvet that serves as a soft back for the prints to be emptied onto, is inspired by old jewellery cases.

Prarthna Singh’s interest in archiving design histories began with her book Sār: The Essence of Indian Design published by Phaidon in 2015, where she photographed over 200 everyday objects celebrating their unique design.
This body of work continues Singh’s reflections on a time when Indian architecture was defining its post-independence identity.
